The adult's first experience in Mitten Bay is New Leader Welcome to Mitten Bay.
The New Leader Welcome is required before attending Basic Orientation to Girl Scouts training and is provided at no charge. Your service unit manager is responsible for making sure that you receive this "orientation."
The two-hour Welcome introduces the new leader and co-leader to the policies and procedures of the national Girl Scout organization (GSUSA) and the Girl Scouts of Mitten Bay (GSMB) as well as the providing information on resources available to the new troop adults including a "first four meetings with the group" packet.
